Tom Dillmann proved his worth again on day two of GP2 Series pre-season testing at Jerez, keeping championship newcomers Hilmer Motorsport on top for a second straight day.

After putting the new German outfit on top on Tuesday, Frenchman Dillmann was quickest again on Wednesday morning. He was then second fastest in the afternoon behind Stephane Richelmi, but later tweeted that he would not be in the car on the third and final day on Thursday.

Stefano Coletti was second best in the morning for Rapax ahead of James Calado, Felipe Nasr and DAMS pairing Marcus Ericsson and Richelmi. Sergio Canamasas was eighth for Caterham with the Lazarus pairing of Kevin Giovesi and Rene Binder rounding out the top ten.

Richelmi?s afternoon best was two tenths away from Dillmann?s morning benchmark, but more than three tenths clear of the Frenchman?s afternoon time. Johnny Cecotto was third for Arden ahead of Daniel Abt, while Robin Frijns took fifth for Trident.

Ericsson was sixth ahead of Dilmann?s Hilmer teammate Pal Varhaug, with Canamasas, Jake Rosenzweig and Simon Trummer completing the top ten.
