The Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup will visit the United Kingdom for the first time next year, following the influx of teams and drivers from the now-defunct British series.

The 2012 season of the NEC was dominated by British teams and drivers, with Fortec Motosport’s Jake Dennis beating Manor MP Motorsport’s Jordan King as well as his own teammate Josh Hill to win the title.

The series will support the Blancpain Endurance Series round at Silverstone at the start of June, with the British Grand Prix venue following fellow classic Formula 1 venues Hockenheim, the Nurburgring and Spa-Francorchamps on the schedule. The series will also make its regular trips to Assen and Zandvoort in the Netherlands and Most in the Czech Republic.
